January 20, 2025 — The Winder Fire Department’s annual Empty Stocking Drive concluded with overwhelming success, made possible through the generosity of the Winder community and its many partners. Thanks to donations from local citizens, businesses, schools, churches, civic organizations, car clubs, motorcycle clubs, golf clubs, and other community supporters, more than 823 local children received gifts during the 2024 holiday season, marking the most successful year in the program’s history. Department officials expressed heartfelt gratitude to the firefighters and volunteers whose tireless efforts ensured every donation reached a child in need. The Empty Stocking Drive once again highlighted the strength of community partnerships and the impact of working together to support local families during the holidays.
