January 18, 2025 — Snow began falling across Baldwin County on Saturday, blanketing roadways, rail lines, and fire facilities as winter weather moved into the area. While the snowfall created scenic conditions, it also introduced potential hazards for motorists and pedestrians. Baldwin County Fire Rescue advised residents to use caution if travel was necessary and encouraged the public to remain at home when possible. Firefighters remained fully staffed and operational throughout the event, prepared to respond to emergencies despite deteriorating road conditions. Officials emphasized that winter weather, even in limited amounts, can quickly make travel unsafe and urged the community to prioritize safety while enjoying the rare snowfall.
