Douglas, MA — January 30th — Following a recent fire response by the Auburn Fire Department, the Town of Douglas Fire Department emphasized the significance of winter hydrant clearance on January 30. After locating a hydrant that had been removed in advance, Auburn staff were able to work effectively and quickly obtain water.

As of that afternoon, all of Douglas' fire hydrants had been removed, according to fire personnel. The Highway Department, Douglas firefighters, and locals who helped out throughout the town worked together to make this possible.
