The Linwood Professional Firefighters IAFF Local 4370 responded to a report of a downed tree across the road during storm conditions on January 27 at around 10:17 p.m. Three volunteer firemen from TSU 5 and two on-duty firefighters from Ladder 5 responded. Chief Walley took authority as soon as he arrived. The massive tree was cut into chunks and removed from the road by workers using many chainsaws. The road was soon restored to local traffic once operations were finished in around 20 minutes.
