In response to a reported fully involved shed fire, the Milmay Volunteer Fire Company sent Station 12-4 on mutual aid to the Richland area of Buena Vista Township on January 6. As part of the response, several departments were sent out. With a full crew, Engine 1241 arrived and used a 1¾-inch handline to start fire attack operations. In order to confine the fire and stop it from spreading to neighboring exposures, crews collaborated with mutual aid organizations.
