NEWBURGH, NY - Cronomer Valley FD responded to Mile Marker 65.2 on the NYS Thruway on February 1st for a MVA with rollover involving a van and tractor-trailer. Firefighters assisted with an injured party and spread speedy dry on fluids on the side of the roadway. The tractor-trailer stopped 700' up the road on the east shoulder. NYS Police and DOT members were at the scene. One lane was closed during the incident. Cronomer Valley Fire Police assisted in traffic control. Firefighters waited for a tow truck before the vehicle was flipped over and debris was placed inside. Town of Newburgh EMS transported the driver to Montefiore-St. Luke's Hospital. NYS police officers are investigating the cause.
