January 21, 2026 — Andover Fire Rescue crews responded as part of a mutual aid assignment to a third-alarm structure fire in the Town of Reading on Tuesday night. Engine Company 1 operated on scene alongside multiple regional departments, assisting with fire suppression and overhaul operations at the heavily involved residential structure. Snowfall and cold temperatures added to the challenging conditions faced by crews throughout the incident.
After completing assigned tasks and ensuring scene stability, Andover firefighters were released and returned to service. No injuries to Andover personnel were reported.
