Barnstable Fire Department Recognizes January Service Anniversaries

January 14, 2026 — The Barnstable Fire Department is recognizing several members this month for reaching important service milestones, honoring their dedication and commitment to the department and the Barnstable Fire District.


Department officials congratulated Lt./EMT Brian Cabral on reaching 20 years of service, marking a career that began on January 3, 2006. FF/EMT-P Michael Watts was recognized for five years of service, having joined the department on January 4, 2021. FF/EMT Alexander Smith and FF/EMT Daniel Black were each honored for three years of service, both beginning their careers on January 23, 2023.


The department thanked all four members for their continued professionalism and dedication in serving residents and visitors, noting that their experience and commitment play a vital role in public safety across the district.
