BARNSTABLE, MA - January 15, 2026 — Construction continues to move steadily forward on the Barnstable Fire Department’s new fire station, with crews making significant progress on a critical early phase of the project.
Department shared that contractors are currently focused on building the foundation forms, a key step in preparing the site for the structure that will soon rise. This phase of work lays the groundwork for the station’s long-term stability and functionality.
Another major milestone was scheduled for January 16th, when the first concrete pour was set to take place. Once complete, the foundation would quite literally set the base for a modern facility designed to serve Barnstable firefighters and the community for decades to come.
Department officials said they are encouraged by the progress and will continue to share updates as construction advances. The project represents a long-term investment in public safety and emergency response for the town.
