Mt. Bethel and Community FC Train on RIT Operations

Warren, NJ — January 29 — Together with Community Fire Company, members of Mt. Bethel Fire Company, which operates out of 128 Mount Bethel Road, held a department drill that emphasized firefighter safety and fundamental fireground abilities. Rapid Intervention Team (RIT) activities, which are used to find and remove a firefighter in difficulty during a structure fire, were the focus of the training. Crews went over synchronized maneuvers intended for low-visibility situations, air management, and search techniques.


In order to obtain rapid and efficient access to buildings, members were also trained in forced entry utilizing the department's door prop. This kind of practical instruction promotes safe operations and strengthens abilities that might be needed in high-risk situations. Regular joint drills assist maintain preparedness for emergency responses and enhance company coordination, according to department officials.
