Warren, NJ — January 11 — As part of continued efforts to prepare for winter, members of Mt. Bethel Fire Company, which operates out of 128 Mount Bethel Road, took part in an Ice Rescue Technician training session over the weekend. The Kinnelon Fire Department hosted the class, which was taught by Rescue Products International.
The practical course concentrated on cold-weather rescue techniques, such as victim removal, equipment deployment, ice evaluation, and responder safety. Training situations replicated conditions that firefighters would face on frozen lakes, ponds, and canals during winter occurrences. Regular technical rescue training is essential for preserving operational readiness and guaranteeing safe, efficient responses to seasonal dangers, according to department officials. The department expressed gratitude to the host agency and instructors for providing the facilities and training.
