When Brigantine Fire and EMS Department personnel went to a reported structure fire at a single-family home on January 28, they discovered a dryer fire that had been limited to its original location. The house was occupied at the time of the occurrence, but both occupants were able to safely leave before the fire service arrived. There were no reported injuries. Firefighters observed that there was a lot of smoke throughout the house but confirmed that the fire did not spread beyond the utility room. In addition to doing ventilation to get rid of smoke from the house, crews thoroughly checked for fire extension.
