Members of the Tri-County Volunteer Fire Company spent time clearing snow from fire hydrants across the community to ensure quick access during emergencies. Over the course of approximately three hours, crews cleared snow from around 40 hydrants that had been impacted by the recent storm. Fire officials thanked residents who had already taken the time to clear hydrants near their homes, noting that those efforts directly support faster emergency response. Crews emphasized that even a few minutes of shoveling can make a significant difference when firefighters need immediate access to a water supply. Locals are urged to check the hydrants in the area and remove any snow that may have been overlooked. The department reminds the public that having hydrants nearby contributes to the safety of people and property.
