Pennsauken, NJ — January 23rd — The Lt. Joseph P. DiBernardo Memorial Foundation has chosen the Pennsauken Fire Department, located at 5301 Lexington Avenue, to receive a firefighter safety grant. Each uniformed member will receive a personal escape system from Fire Innovations as part of the award, and All Hands Fire, a longtime department partner, will give practical training.

As the department commemorates the 21st anniversary of the January 23, 2005 line-of-duty event, the grant recognizes the legacy and sacrifice of six Pennsauken firefighters. Firefighter survivability and operational readiness will be enhanced by the equipment and training, according to department officials.
