Jan 24 — Barnegat Light, NJ: On Saturday night, the Barnegat Light Volunteer Fire Company #1 hosted its yearly installation supper to commemorate the handover of the 2025 officers to the newly sworn leadership team for 2026. Members convened to formally install administrative and operational officers for the upcoming year and to thank departing officers for their contributions. Departmental awards were also given out during the evening. Toni Murphy was given the Chief's Award for her contributions to the organization, while Brian Einselen was given the Member's Choice Award.

In 2026, Nancy Manookian was appointed secretary, George Robertson as treasurer, Linda Gerber as vice president, and Toni Murphy as president. Chief Fred Grimste, Assistant Chief Sponge Washburn, Captain Dave Connelly Jr., Lieutenant Kyle Anderson, Engineer Kirk Larson Jr., Assistant Engineer Brian Einselen, Fire Police Captain Linda Gerber, and Fire Police Lieutenant Toni Murphy are among the operational leadership.
