Firefighters Rescue Trapped Driver Following Overturned Vehicle Crash in Northfield

January 17, 2026 — City of Northfield Volunteer Fire Company #1, working alongside Northfield Firefighters IAFF Local 2364, responded to a serious motor vehicle accident in the 100 block of Rosedale Avenue involving an overturned vehicle with entrapment. Fire personnel were dispatched at approximately 12:12 p.m., with Rescue 62 and Engine 64 arriving promptly to find a single vehicle overturned and one occupant trapped inside. Crews quickly stabilized the vehicle and performed a safe extrication of the patient. Firefighters remained on scene to assist with debris removal and ensured the roadway was safely reopened a short time later. No further hazards were reported following the incident.
