Multiple Agencies Assist at Barnegat Incident

Stafford Township, NJ — January 13 — Deputy Chief 1110 of Barnegat Fire Company arrived first and verified that the fire was operational in response to a reported structure fire. Several mutual aid organizations provided assistance to firefighters as they started suppression efforts. After being contained, the fire was given to the Ocean County Fire Marshals to look into.


Barnegat First Aid and Stafford EMS offered medical assistance as mutual aid companies 36, 47, 60, and 61 worked on the spot. To ensure scene safety, Barnegat Police helped with road closures and traffic management. The department's Ladies Auxiliary offered extra assistance, and a nearby company on Bayshore Drive helped crews with recovery efforts. Stafford Township Volunteer Fire Company #1 observed that an efficient response was facilitated by agency collaboration and community participation.
