Partial Building Collapse Following Weather Event in Whitman

WHITMAN, MA - Around 9:30 A.M. on the morning of Wednesday, January 10th, the Whitman Fire Department responded to 356 South Avenue for a report of a building collapse. Upon arrival, companies found a one-story brick commercial building which had suffered a significant collapse of a wall and ceiling. The portion that suffered the collapse was an unoccupied boiler room for a large commercial, multiple use complex. Command requested the gas company, electrical and building inspectors to respond. No injuries were reported.
