The City of Northfield Volunteer Fire Company #1 wants to reassure the community that crews are ready for the upcoming winter weather, even if that preparation playfully involves making French toast. On a more serious note, locals are asked to assist by removing snow from fire hydrants close to their residences. Firefighters can work more effectively during emergencies if hydrants are easily accessible and visible. In order for Public Works personnel to safely and efficiently clear roads, residents are also urged to abide by local parking and snow removal regulations. People in the neighborhood are advised to avoid the roads unless absolutely necessary during times of snow and dangerous driving conditions. Road personnel and emergency responders can perform their duties more safely when there is less traffic. We appreciate your efforts in keeping Northfield secure during the winter.
