Good Samaritans Alert Residents to House Fire in Meriden

MERIDEN, CT - Around 4:00 P.M. on January 21st, firefighters were dispatched to a structure fire on Broad St. All Meriden units were on scene along with New Britain Engine 2 and Ladder 2, Middletown Truck 1, Wallingford Engine 1, Berlin Volunteers and South Meriden Engine 6 while Southington covered the city. It was reported that three men who were at a car wash across the street saw the fire, ran into the house and got everyone out. It was also later reported that several firefighters sustained unknown injuries. Meriden PD, Hunters and Eversource Energy were also on scene.
