BROOKLYN, CT - At 8:16 A.M. on Wednesday, January 19th, the East Brooklyn Fire Department with mutual aid from Mortlake, Danielson, Williamsville and the South Killingly FAST, were dispatched to 63 Ventura Drive for a house fire. Engine 192 arrived at 8:23 A.M. with heavy fire from the 'A/D' corner and led off with their deck gun to the front and a two-and-a-half inch hose line to the 'Delta' side. Command transmitted a second-alarm at 8:25 A.M. after, which added Moosup, Dayville and Atwood Hose. Crews knocked down a large volume of fire from the exterior and then went inside. South Killingly Engine 165 established the second water supply which fed Engine 160. Tower 161 set up in the front and performed vertical ventilation. Crews performed overhaul for a couple of hours before clearing. The Brooklyn Fire Marshal is investigating.
