The Northfield Fire Department had a busy year in 2025, responding to 1,025 calls for service. The call volume includes 338 fire responses, 608 EMS events, and 79 non-emergency calls, representing a 10% increase over 2024. In addition to emergency response, firefighters did routine training, assisted with community activities, and put Ladder 63 into duty after many hours of extra training. Department officials stated that these actions helped maintain readiness and improve service delivery throughout the year. The department praised the City of Northfield Council for approving a much-needed makeover of the station's day room. Appreciation was also offered to the City of Northfield Volunteer Fire Company #1 for their ongoing support and cooperation, as well as the dispatchers at Egg Harbor Township Police Department Communications for their efforts during many dispatch changes. On January 2, the department provided an update as it looked ahead to 2026.
