Vehicle Drives Off Roadway in Newburgh, Driver Pinned Inside

NEWBURGH, NY - Cronomer Valley FD responded to a two-vehicle MVA with a driver pinned inside the vehicle at 186 North Plank Road on January 22nd. On arrival, the vehicle was found in a ditch. Firefighters secured the vehicle with stabilizer bars and wheel chocks, and used the Jaws of Life to extricate the driver from the vehilce. Town of Newburgh Police and EMS were at the scene. The driver was transported to Montefiore-St. Luke's Hospital by Town of Newburgh EMS. The roadway was shut down during the incident. The Town of Newburgh Police Dept. is investigating the cause.
