Berkeley Heights, NJ — December 19 — After graduating from the Union County Police Academy and being appointed as a Berkeley Heights police officer, Dylan Pidane was acknowledged by the Berkeley Heights Fire Department, located at 411 Hamilton Avenue. At the age of sixteen, Pidane enlisted in the fire department as a junior cadet in 2017. After completing a rigorous training program, he obtained certificates as a Swift Water Rescue Technician, Hazardous Materials Technician, and Firefighter I and II. He graduated from Rowan University with a bachelor's degree in emergency management and disaster preparedness in 2022.
