McAfee, NJ — January 9 — The passing of former Chief William Redmon, a seasoned fireman with over 50 years of service, has been announced to the McAfee Fire Department, situated at 88 State Route 94.
In the late 1980s, Redmon was the head of the McAfee Fire Department. He resumed his career at the Hawthorne Fire Department after leaving Vernon in 1990, where he once more became chief. His career demonstrated a long-standing dedication to public safety, training, and leadership in a variety of departments. His accomplishments and the example he established for upcoming generations of firefighters are acknowledged by members of the emergency services community.
