McAfee, NJ — January 8 — Firefighters who finished fire academy training in 2025 were acknowledged by members of the McAfee Fire Department, which is located at 88 State Route 94. Alongside men and women from many departments who finished a variety of academy courses throughout the course of the year, Jack Speight, Matt Metz, and Steve Myers graduated.

Programs offered by fire academies offer organized training in teamwork, safety protocols, emergency operations, and fire suppression. Firefighters must complete these courses in order to be prepared to work on emergency scenes in a variety of situations. In order to preserve preparedness, lower operational risk, and enhance agency collaboration, state and federal fire service training regulations place a strong emphasis on continuing education. Completing these courses demonstrates a sustained dedication to professional growth and safe and efficient community service.
