On December 31, members of the Cranford Fire Department used a hands-on training prop built by Probationary Firefighter Taggart to demonstrate fire flow path and the importance of door control. The firefighter built a dollhouse-style model that made it easy for teams to see how smoke, heat, and fire flow through a building. The model demonstrated how keeping doors closed can prevent a fire from spreading and lessen the amount of heat and smoke in other parts of a structure.
