CEDAR HAMMOCK, FL - Just before sunset on January 18th in Cedar Hammock Fire District, units were dispatched to a reported house fire. Units en route reported a large black plume of smoke in the area. On arrival, they found half a duplex well-involved, wires down in the backyard and a well-established brush fire threatening homes. Forces were split to control the fires. Mutual Aid came from Southern Manatee and City of Bradenton.
