Bridgewater Township, NJ — 18th December — 49 Fire units were sent to Bridgewater Township in response to a reported car accident on Route 2 that resulted in casualties. While emergency medical care was being given, firefighters arrived to support scene operations and help with traffic safety. As soon as they arrived, firefighters moved to manage hazards, secure cars, and help EMS personnel as required.

In order to ensure that the right resources were allocated, Somerset County Communications coordinated the reaction. While local law enforcement oversaw traffic management and started the investigation, RWJ EMS assessed and treated the wounded victim. There were no immediate information available about the patient's condition or the reason of the collision. During a typical injury crash response, the fire, EMS, and police departments coordinated as usual.
