Rescue 37 and Engine 36 Operate at Amwell Road Crash

Hillsborough Township, NJ — 17th December — Hillsborough Volunteer Fire Co. #1 of Flagtown Fire/Rescue was called to a car accident on Amwell Road close to the post office where a person was reportedly trapped. One driver was confined inside the car, according to first-arriving units. The occupant was safely removed after firefighters from Engine 36, Mini Pumper 10, and Rescue 37 stabilized the car and gained access.


To secure the area, Engine 38 helped with debris removal and hazard control. After receiving treatment from EMS, the lone injured driver was sent to a nearby hospital for additional assessment. No further information was made public. RWJ EMS handled patient care, and Hillsborough Police handled traffic control and scene assistance. During operations, there were brief traffic impacts on the route. The issue is still being looked into.
