On January 12th, the Town of Westfield, NJ Fire Department thanked the Westfield Historic Preservation Commission for recognizing Fire Headquarters as a local historic landmark. At the department's recent 150th anniversary, the department was honored to receive a commemorative plaque commemorating this title. For almost a century, Fire Headquarters, which was constructed in 1910, has been a vital element of both the department and the community. The structure contributed to the town's expansion and prosperity and served as a reminder of Westfield's early dedication to protecting people and property.
