Engine 5 Provided Standby Coverage in Linden During Active Incident

On January 2nd, Westfield Engine 5 responded into Linden for a cover assignment while local companies handled an active incident in their jurisdiction. In order to guarantee the City of Linden's continuous fire protection and emergency response capabilities throughout the incident, the engine was designated to provide standby coverage. For the length of the assignment, Westfield employees were on call for fire, EMS, and other emergency situations.
