BRIDGEWATER, NJ - On January 13th, the Green Knoll Fire Department was called to a reported car rollover on Interstate 287 heading north. When Engine 34-1 and Rescue 34 arrived, they discovered that only one car was involved on the roadway. Firefighters stabilized the car, guarded the area, and looked for fuel and fire concerns. To control traffic and evaluate the situation, crews worked in tandem with EMS and law enforcement. While responders assessed the car and road conditions, operations concentrated on scene safety. Until the situation settled and the area was cleared, fire department personnel stayed on scene to assist with incident operations.
