Bedminster, NJ — December 17 — A reported overturned tractor-trailer prompted the Far Hills-Bedminster Fire Department to react to Interstate 78. When units arrived, they discovered a tractor-trailer that had collided with a passenger car in the westbound lanes, crossed the median, and ended up in the eastbound lanes. Firefighters secured the area, looked for any dangers, and helped ensure highway traffic safety.
After being assessed by members of the Far Hills-Bedminster First Aid Squad, the tractor-trailer driver was sent to a nearby hospital for additional testing. No further patient data was disclosed. Chief 29, AC 29, Squad 29, Engine 29-1, and Rescue 29 were among the units using the highway. When removing vehicles, highway crews and law officers helped with scene management and lane closures.
