Basking Ridge, NJ — 28th December — In response to a reported structure fire in Bernards Township, the Basking Ridge Fire Co. No. 1 & EMS was sent as mutual aid to support the Liberty Corner Fire Department. According to early accounts, a garage with an addition above the garage area was experiencing severe fire conditions.

When Basking Ridge workers arrived, they were tasked with helping with the garage's overhaul and fire suppression. To make sure the area was completely under control, firefighters worked to put out any leftover fire, check for extensions, and remove any damaged goods. During working incidents, departments might share resources and staff through mutual aid responses. Before being approved and going back to work, crews worked on the area for around two hours.
