Fire and EMS Units Dispatched for Medical Emergency

Basking Ridge, NJ — 19th December — A 45-year-old man was the subject of a reported LOWER ABDOM PAI call that the Basking Ridge Fire Co. No. 1 & EMS responded to. To give medical evaluation and treatment, fire and emergency medical services were sent out.


EMS personnel contacted the patient upon arrival, took vital signs, and performed a targeted medical assessment. While assessing if more treatment was required, care was provided in accordance with recognized EMS guidelines. The patient was kept under observation and ready for further medical assessment if needed. A number of medical disorders may be connected to lower abdomen pain, which is a common cause of EMS calls. EMS personnel are able to identify symptoms and deliver prompt care because to ongoing training. Units were put back into service after care was finished.
