Firefighters Respond to ZN003 Alarm Call

Basking Ridge, NJ — 15th December — The township's FIRE ALARM: ZN003 call prompted the Basking Ridge Fire Co. No. 1 & EMS to react. The building's fire detection system reported an automated alarm activation, prompting the dispatch of fire and emergency medical services.
When they arrived, firemen checked the fire alarm control panel, located the activated zone, and thoroughly searched the impacted areas in accordance with standard operating protocols. During the investigation, crews discovered no signs of smoke, fire, or dangerous circumstances. It was concluded that the activation was not an emergency. A significant portion of fire department calls are handled by automatic fire alarm responses, which offer early notice of possible dangers. Before units were put back into service, EMS staff were on standby while firefighters made sure the building was secure.
