December 19, 2025 — Alna Volunteer Fire Department remained busy during severe weather conditions, responding to four calls for service throughout the day. Three of the incidents involved downed trees blocking roadways or fouling power lines, while a fourth response was a mutual aid assignment to assist the Whitefield Fire Department at a structure-related incident.

Despite driving rain and challenging conditions, Alna firefighters worked to clear Route 218, Route 194, and Cross Road, restoring access and improving safety for motorists. Six members also responded to Whitefield to support operations at the structure call.

Department officials thanked their volunteers for their dedication, teamwork, and energy during a long and demanding day, noting their continued commitment to helping neighbors and keeping the community safe.
