January 15, 2026 —From January 1 through December 31, 2025, Waterville Fire Department responded to 5,621 calls for service, underscoring another demanding year as an all-hazards department. Crews handled 93 fire incidents, including 37 building fires, resulting in an estimated $1.1 million in property loss.
The majority of responses—4,190 calls (75%)—were Rescue & EMS, generating 4,640 patient care reports, along with 212 Community Paramedicine visits. Firefighters also managed 92 hazardous condition calls (half involving potential gas leaks), 721 service calls including inspections, 340 false alarms, and 100 special incident responses.
As Waterville looks ahead to another busy year, the department remains committed to delivering high-quality EMS, fire suppression, and technical rescue services to the community.
