January 15, 2026 – Augusta, ME — Members of Augusta Uniformed Firefighters IAFF Local 1650 gathered at Hartford Station on Thursday morning to host a Retiree Breakfast celebrating the department’s retired firefighters. The event drew an excellent turnout, bringing together current and former members to share stories, laughter, and camaraderie that highlighted the strong bonds within the Augusta fire service.

Union officials said the breakfast was organized to remind retirees that they remain appreciated, valued, and an enduring part of the fire family, with hopes of making the gathering a lasting tradition.

Special thanks were extended to FF/Paramedic Baldwin for preparing breakfast for attendees, as well as to all retired members who took the time to attend and reconnect with colleagues.
