Augusta Fire-Rescue Promotes Dustin Freeman to Lieutenant

December 31, 2025— Augusta Fire-Rescue announced the promotion of Dustin Freeman to the rank of Lieutenant, recognizing more than 15 years of dedicated service to the department. Freeman has served with Augusta Fire-Rescue since March 24, 2009, bringing extensive experience and knowledge into his new leadership role. He was officially pinned with his lieutenant’s badge during a special C Shift breakfast, with the honor performed by his girlfriend and attended by family members.


The department extended thanks to Firefighter Poirier and his wife for providing breakfast in celebration of the promotion, as well as Firefighters Poirier and Manzer for preparing the meal. Lieutenant Freeman assumes duties as the new C Shift Lieutenant, marking his first shift in the role, and department members congratulated him while wishing him continued success in his leadership position.
