The Knowlton Township Fire and Rescue Company #1 looked back on a hectic and successful year of duty in 2025 as 2026 got underway. KTFR responded to 221 occurrences during the year, including 20 EMS-related incidents, 10 brush fires, 11 structure fires (including mutual aid), 2 chimney fires, 5 vehicle fires, 47 auto accidents, and 5 extrications. In addition, crews responded to 121 other incidents, which included everything from activated fire alarms to water rescues. Members of the department praised nearby fire departments and emergency responders who frequently offered mutual aid and assistance, and they expressed gratitude for the community's ongoing support.
