Injuries in Jerome County crash




JEROME COUNTY,ID-Two people were transported to a hospital on Jan. 15 after being injured in a motor vehicle collision at the intersection of US93 and 400 South in Jerome County.

According to Idaho State Police around 4:16 p.m., Pamela McConnell, 44, of Wendell, was northbound on US93 in a 2002 Mitsubishi Gallant. Gary Short, 55, of Twin Falls, was eastbound on 400 South in a 2001 Chevrolet Silverado. McConnell turned westbound onto 400 South and stuck Short's vehicle. McConnell and one of her passengers, Yasmine Gilly, 13, of Wendell, were transported by ground ambulance to St Lukes Magic Valley Medical Center in Twin Falls. A third passenger in McConnell's vehicle, Kristy Murphy, 39, of Twin Falls, was not injured.

Idaho State Police said that McConnell and Gilly were not wearing seatbelts. Short and Murphy were wearing their seatbelts.

The crash is under investigation by the Idaho State Police.
