Two injured in Granville Township MVA

At 1000 Hours the Mifflin County 911 Center dispatched Box 15-20 to 10195 US HWY 522 S. in front of Wal-Mart for a two vehicle MVA with injuries. Engine 15-1, Rescue 15-1, Engine 17-1, and EMS 12 were due on the box. Units were advised by dispatch that they had two vehicles head on with two injuries, one still in the vehicle. A Granville Twp police officer and two off duty EMT's arrived on scene first and helped with patient stabilization until fire and ems arrived. EMS was advised that they had two patients, one with neck and leg injuries, and a second with chest pain. Rescue 15-1 arrived first and immediately went to work cribbing the vehicle. EMS Co. 12 arrived shortly after and quickly went to work helping the patients. After patient care was administered and the patients were extricated they were taken to Lewistown Hospital. Two wreckers were then brought in to remove the vehicles. After the vehicles were removed from the scene, debris was cleaned up and removed by Co.15. Chief 15 then placed the box available at 1034 hours.
