At 7:00 p.m. on December 15th, a chimney fire on Goslee Road was reported, and units from the Litchfield Fire Department, Bantam Fire Company, and Bantam Ambulance arrived. While examining the building for potential extensions, firefighters discovered a problem in the chimney and fireplace area and worked to resolve it. To make sure the fire had not spread past the chimney, crews conducted exterior and interior inspections. During the event, no injuries were reported. While Litchfield Fire responded with Ladder 1 and Engine 4, Bantam Fire units used Engines 36, 35, Tanker 33, Rescue 38, and Ambulance 39. By about 8:20 p.m., the scene had been secured and all units had left.
