With less than eight hours left in 2025, the Wethersfield Volunteer Fire Department reported handling 730 occurrences in the previous 12 months. The department posted images showcasing a variety of reactions and activities from 2025 as part of its year-end assessment. These comprised continuing training operations, vehicle accidents, rescue calls and building fires. Throughout the year, photos also showed firemen assisting with local events, fire safety initiatives, and community engagement programs. Recognising the value of duty, tradition, and remembering within the fire service, the department also took time to honour and remember a fallen brother.
