After obtaining his Firefighter I certification, Firefighter Dylan Riedel was acknowledged by the South Windsor Fire Department. As a second-generation employee, Riedel fulfilled state requirements for interior firefighting operations by completing the necessary training and assessments. Riedel was given his yellow helmet and given the go-ahead to operate inside buildings in accordance with departmental procedures as part of this milestone. The foundation for structure firefighting responsibilities is provided by Firefighter I certification, which includes training in fire behaviour, hose operations, ladders, search strategies, and safety protocols.
