EPPING, NH — January 5 — Along with other nearby departments, the Epping Fire & Rescue, located at 37 Pleasant Street, responded as mutual aid to a structure fire in Kingston. In order to help with water delivery operations at the incident, Epping responded with Engine 3, the department's 3,000-gallon tanker.

Tanker shuttles are crucial during building fires because many localities in the area lack municipal water supplies. Engine 3 was designated to support continuous water delivery, enabling uninterrupted fire suppression operations both inside and outside. As part of a coordinated response, Epping personnel worked with Kingston Fire and other mutual aid partners. Rural fire operations still depend heavily on tanker-based water delivery, which calls for departmental collaboration and planning. After the incident, all units finished their tasks and went back into duty.
