CHESTER, NH — January 6 — The Chester Fire Department, which can be found at 27 Murphy Drive in Chester, New Hampshire, sent out a reminder on January 6 on how emergencies should be reported. Instead of contacting the fire station directly, you should call 911 to report any occurrence that would necessitate an emergency response, such as carbon monoxide alarms, propane odours, or other dangerous conditions.
Derry dispatchers answer 911 calls and make sure the appropriate fire equipment and mutual aid supplies are delivered out on time. When on-duty staff are preoccupied with other crises or are unable to answer the phone, direct calls to the station may cause a delay in response.
