December 11, 2025 — Lewiston Fire Department welcomed three new members to its ranks during a swearing-in ceremony held at Lewiston City Hall. Firefighters Thomas Hunter, Ryan Long, and Marcus Gaudet were officially sworn in and will begin several weeks of training focused on learning and mastering the skills required to serve the Lewiston community. Hunter returns to the department after previously serving as a fire inspector, while Long and Gaudet are joining the Lewiston Fire Department for the first time.

Department officials and city leaders extended their congratulations and wished the new firefighters a successful start and many years of dedicated service to the City of Lewiston.
